India turns out to be the best potential area for electric scooter launches. As an example of which, almost every day a new model of some company is launched in the market of this country. Similarly, Lectrix EV announced the launch of a pair of new electric scooters – LXS G3.0 and LXS G2.0. Of the two models, only the LXS G2.0 has been priced at Rs 1,03,000. The Gurgaon-based company, a subsidiary of SAR Group, has already started accepting bookings for its two models. The scooters will be delivered through the company's 100 dealerships in the country from August 16.

The company claims 93 world-class features in the LXS G3.0 and LXS G2.0. Among which various features are available including 36 safety features, 24 smart features, 14 comfort features. This is the first time such a feature has been offered at a price close to Rs 1 lakh. Such as latest connected technology, auto indicator, smart ignition, helmet warning, vehicle diagnostic, ride statistics, remote seat operation through mobile app, anti theft mechanism, helmet warning, emergency SOS alert, navigation assist, OTA update etc.

The LXS G2.0 is claimed to have a range of 85 km from its 2.3 kWh battery. The LXS G3.0 has a 3 kWh battery, which will provide a range of over 100 km on a full charge. The company aims to sell more than 50,000 models of the LXS G3.0 and LXS G2.0 this year. By doing this, 3-5% market share in the battery powered scooter market can be brought into their possession.

Lectrix EV has already invested Rs 300 crore to build the new factory. 1,50,000 units of the model will be manufactured here every year. They are planning to raise 500 crore rupees for launching more new products within the next year. Simultaneously target 300,000 units annual production. The company is currently said to be working on an electric motorcycle.

Speaking about the launch of the new scooter, the company's managing director and CEO K Vijay Kumar said, "Bringing simple, cheap and eco-friendly vehicles to the market is the only key to growth." He added that while they had launched models in the B-2-B (business to business) segment in the past, now they are increasing their importance in the personal use electric scooter segment.
